Meet the Characters

Sophie

I’m a Shih-Poo. Maybe you’ve never heard of this breed, but it totally matches my character. For those who don’t know, a Shih-Poo is a cross between a Shih Tzu and a Toy Poodle. Very adorable, just like me.

Mosley

I’m a Majestic Tree Hound. This is because of my howling nature as a way of expressing myself. I also drool a lot but requested that this information not be included in the Dumpster Dog books. When I howl and drool at the same time, I find it very embarrassing.

Riley

I’m a Goldendoodle, which makes me part Golden Retriever and part standard Poodle. One reason I selected to be a “doodle” is that I love humans and other dogs as noted by my loyalty to the Dumpster Dogs, Sophie (honorable Dumpster Dog), Emily and the rest of the clinic team.

Gus

And I’m an English Bulldog. People say I’m very loving, wise and sensitive. Riley and I enjoy deep discussions about human nature.

Target

I’m a submissive Dachshund who likes to be cared for. I’m a tiny, loving and kind boy who enjoys being carried around by Emily in a backpack. My secret is that I could walk instead of being carried, but I’m a little lazy and my legs are so short I can’t keep up with my dog pals.

Elmer

I don’t know what ancestry I come from, but I’ve never met any dog that has as much trouble with the fur on his head as I do. I think I might be a descendent of a canine Indian chief. Though I’m not sure, I love entertaining the possibility.

Rover

I’m the herder of the group and part Australian Shepherd. I like helping other dogs and furry friends. Unfortunately, I’m rather a breed of my own making, which makes me an individual who cannot be re-created. I have some pride about this and identify myself as a “Rover Breed.”
